Ana Marinkovic-Sai
Born in 1997 in Belgrade, Serbia
Combining conceptual research with personal narrative, Ana’s multidisciplinary practice examines how identity and technology are negotiated within contemporary art and its institutions.
Ana’s practice navigates elite societal structures, identity performance, and the politics of the art world. Her work spans spatial installations, drawings, and video often blurring the lines between critique and immersion, transforming private experience into public confrontation. Between 2019 and 2022, she lived in New York City, where she deepened her conceptual approach and developed projects exploring the evolving role of the artist within contemporary hierarchies.
A prodigious talent, she was admitted to the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade at just sixteen, later earning both her BFA and MA in Sculpture. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade, specializing in transdisciplinary studies of art and media theory.
She lives and works between Belgrade and Frankfurt am Main.
Collaborates with gallery from summer 2025
